Locations & Asset Management
TL;DR
SuperCMMS follows a 5-Level system.
There are 2 location levels ...
Location (Ex: Building)
Sub Location (Ex: Floor-1)
... and 3 asset levels.
Asset (Ex: Air Conditioner)
Sub Asset (Ex: Indoor Unit)
Part (Ex: Air Filter)
Locations.

After signing up for SuperCMMS you will be prompted to create your first location. You will need to create at least one location to get things rolling.
The location with sub-location hierarchy is a convenient way to organise your plant/site/building. All activities that you perform under a location (like adding assets, work orders, etc.) can also be done for a sub-location. In this regard a location and sub-location are identical. How you organize locations and sub-locations is up to you.

Sub Asset (Ex: Indoor Unit)
Part (Ex: Air Filter)
Once you add a location and sub-locations, you can start adding your assets, sub-assets, parts. For each asset, sub-asset, part, you can add comprehensive details like type, make, model, etc. Use the 'custom field' option to add new field types as required.
The process of adding assets, sub-assets, parts is the same for both locations and sub-locations.
Every Asset, Sub Asset, and Part is automatically assigned a unique ID. This can be used in API calls.
For easy reference we have adopted the following naming standard.
Asset ID starts with AA (Ex: AA172681777520456)
Sub Asset ID starts with SA (Ex: SA1726817187063125)
Part ID starts with PP (Ex: SA1726817187463125)
SuperCMMS is designed to be easy to use.

That's it. Work Orders are automatically generated as per the set maintenance schedules. You can track these within the web or mobile apps.
